jt File Translation

I've translated a *.jt file from a customer into an SE assembly and I can't inspect and 3D measurements off of it. Is there a way to do this? Is this the result of a translation error from my end or their end?

depends on what they put in the JT file. The JT is capable of holding either solids (good) or just triangles (not as good). If they sent you just triangles, then you can do some stuff (mass props, and interference check) but not measure. If they can resave the JT with "Brep" on, then you get the solid and you can treat it as almost native Solid Edge.
