AMESet component embedded in a supercomponent

Valued Contributor

Hello,

I have a system which I want to encrypt in a supercomponent for a client.

In my system I used a AMESet component.

I checked my created library by a colleague, but he couldn't compile the system with the supercomponent since he is not having the library with the AMESet component.

I am using the version 13 SL3.

Any workaround?

Thank you

Maxime

Hi Maxime,

when you create the encrypted supercomponent, make sure that you have the sources of your LMS Ameset submodels in the category path list and that you are using the 'new encryption mechanism' in LMS Amesim preferences.

If this fails, please, contact your local technical support.

Hoping this helps

Emmanuel

Hello Emmanuel,

Thanks for replying.

I checked in the preferences, and the old encryption is disabled.

Now I forgot to mention that I tested to save my model in a supercomponent WITHOUT encryption.

And with this method, my colleag couldn't compile the system because the AMESet library was missing.

I will test to encrypt the SC.

I will let you know

Maxime

Hello again,
So now it is working.
I just had to encrypt the supercomponent.
Thank you

Great Smiley Happy

Now make sure the models you intend to share are effectively using the encrypted version of the supercomponent.

If you have overwrittent the un-encrypted version, launch a 'Check submodel'.

If you have created a specific encrypted submodel just apply it in Submodel mode.

I checked it quickly at my colleag's pc.
It was asking the password.
Thank you again

Modeling/Check submodels

or CTRL + K

If you work a lot with local libraries you can automatically launch it for all the models that you open. There is a setting in the general LMS Amesim preferences.
