Hi,

Do you know how to simulate a hydraulic system controlled by a PLC? Is it possible to do?

This is the circuit and the resultsa.pngb.png

Best regards,

Abdiel.

Hi,

have you considered using LMS Amesim Statechart control logic tool to represent the PLC?

For more information about the Statechart, please refer to the online documentation or to LMS Amesim help and demos (qthelp://lmsimagine.lab/ame_dir/demo/Platform/PlatformFacilities/Statechart/Statechart.html).

Hi,

yes there are possibilities to connect a real PLC, e.g. a Siemens S7-1500, to a model in LMS Amesim. The other possibility is to connect an emulated PLC to a LMS Amesim model.

Which kind of PLC do you have in mind?

Hi,

just to summarize what my colleagues have already mentionned:

  • LMS Amesim can easily simulate any hydraulic actation system, and especially the one you've describded
  • To activate the servovalve, we can deal with verious kind of signals:
    • simulated signals, using either the Signal and Control library of Amesim (mainly based on continuous signals) or the State Chart functionality (based on discrete events)
    • signals coming from a real PLC or an emulated PLC : several solutions exists and strongly depends on the type of PLC you have

Could you tell us more about your application?

Best regards.
