Adding referece librays to API editor

Hi,

I'm writing an API that calls excel and gets data from the active excel file to the FEMAP model. I really enjoy having proper type library loaded so that I can browse methods and properties while writing the API. Can anyone explain how to properly get the excel (or any other) type library to the FEMAP ActiveX Automation members?

I know one way which is copying the following line to the beginning of the *.BAS file.

'#Reference {00020813-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}#1.5#0#C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\EXCEL.EXE#Microsoft Excel 11.0 Object Library#Excel

However I dont see the logic behind and how this can be done for other applications?

Thanks,

Kristoffer

Hi Kristoffer,

you can click with Right Mouse Button on the API Programming Pane and select References... shortcut, then select Microsoft Excel Object Library:

Femap API - Reference1.jpg

Femap API - Reference2.jpg
