Hi;

 

Im new to FEMAP, I like to know if there is a trick in modleing to avoid the artificial stresses created by CBUSH, ROD, BEAM and REBs as fastners.

Hello!,

In general no trick exist, simply use the "common sense", but take a look to the CWELD element, is a jewel from the NX NASTRAN material library. The CWELD element and corresponding PWELD property entries let you establish connections between points, elements, patches, or any of their combinations. Although there are a number of different ways to model structural connections and fasteners in NX Nastran, such as with CBUSH or CBAR elements or RBE2s, CWELDS are generally easy to generate, less error-prone, and always satisfy the condition of rigid body invariance.
