Coincident nodes

In my model I have several layers. Is it with coincident nodes possible to keep the position of the nodes of layer 1 and let nodes of layer 2 merge towards these? (I tried the options in 'Keep ID' and 'Move to', but those ID's are the ID's of nodes. Sometimes the ID of a node in layer 1 is higher than in layer 2, but not always, so this doesn't work for me).

When you go into Coincident Node, select all the nodes you want to merge.  There's an option under "Keep ID" to "Select Node(s) to Keep", choose this.  When you hit 'OK", FEMAP will prompt you to select the nodes to keep, change the "Method" to "Layer" and then choose one node that's on the layer of all the nodes you want to keep.  Since this is a node selection method, all the nodes on that layer will be selected, and those are the nodes that will be kept, regardless of their ID.

Thank you! That works great and saves a lot of time.
