This is the requirement of the NX Nastran Desktop being part of the "FEMAP with NX NASTRAN" bundle or "NX Advanced Simulation" bundle: the analysis should be launched by the same preprocessor where the FE model was build. This means that the Nastran input file for solution must be written out by Femap and cannot be edited by the user from the OS. In addition, the solution must be performed from the same computer that the Femap license was used to write the input file. The preprocessor add at the end of the BULK DATA a control check.
../.. ENDDATA a1829241
To avoid this constraint in NX AdvSim simply import the NX Nastran input file (*.dat) generated in FEMAP, and you are done!.
Only a license of NX NASTRAN ENTERPRISE allows to launch any nastran input deck.
Also with FEMAP & NX NASTRAN new version 11.3 we have a new module named DESKTOP EXTENSION: The Desktop Extension product is an add-on capability to desktop licenses that removes the above listed limitations. The Node Locked version of the Desktop Extension still has the limitation that it must be run on the same computer as Femap. Users are however able to edit the input files from the OS. But the FLOATING version of DESKTOP EXTENSION allows the user to edit the input file and also perform the solve on different hardware than where Femap was run.
Then check that the error appear in ANY model: define a simply beam model in FEMAP and run the linear static analysis. If the NX NASTRAN solver runs OK then open the other model and create a new study, this should run OK. If not, post your model here and we will take a look to it.
