FEMAP requires user with Administrator rights to run?

Hello,

A FEMAP+NX Nastran customer states that only a user with Administrator rights can run FEMAP, or the following error occurs: "An error has occurred when trying to access the security device. Make sure it is properly installed and try again. (-2070)"

Customer already installed the latest dongle drivers but problem persists. I know that to install you must use an administrator account, but you also must be an administrator to run it?

Thanks.

Re: FEMAP requires user with Administrator rights to run?

There are two times FEMAP needs Admin rights, the first time it runs, in order to register our OLE/COM server, that makes the API possible, and the other time is installing the driver for the dongle (if you're licensed this way).  The issue you describe sounds like the dongle is either fried, or the driver did not get installed, I'd recommend you grab the SuperPro Advanced Medic from the manufacturer of the dongle, that should be to diagnose what's not working -

Thank you. I will ask the customer to run the SuperPro Advanced Medic tool and send me the results.
