Femap 11.4 bug revolution surface

Dear all,

 

I see that with new femap version, if  I revolve curve to obtain a surface, I obtain a distorted object that I can cut.

 

I attach an example of  what I obtain if I try to create a pressure vessel with curve revolution.

Can Anyone help me?

Dear Stefano,

FEMAP V11.4 is running OK, I have rotated curves using command GEOMETRY > SURFACE > REVOLVE and the result is correct, I can stitch the revolved surfaces and create a solid body, cut, etc,,

If I inspect your FEMAP model one think that takes my attention is that not any entity (surface or body) exist under GEOMETRY in the MODEL INFO tree!!.

If I list your surfaces using command LIST > GEOMETRY > SURFACES > ALL then I see the following:

QUESTION: wich geometry engine are you using with FEMAP V11.4?. I mean, under FILE > PREFERENCES > GEOMETRY MODEL the GEOMETRY ENGINE is 1..Parasolid or 0..Standard ??. You need to select the Parasolid engine.

I don't understand why in this version is setted by defaults standard geometry instead parasolid...

 

No is all ok.
