Femap Submodeling

I try to apply a submodel approach as you youtube video

I replicate all step but I obtain this result:

I see that the imposed displacement reducing by the  external lateral region and are minimum in the middle plane. Why obtain this results? where I'm wrong.

Hello!!,

Your global model has a too coarse mesh, refine a little and the local vonMises stress results will improve, sure!.

Another problem could be the nastran flavour you are using, is not NX NASTRAN then I don't know if the procedure would apply the same way as I have done in the video.

Dear Blas,

 

thank for your quickly response.

I'll try to reduce the mesh dimension of global model. I use Autodesk Nastran for the numerical resolution.

I think (and I hope) that don't make meaninful change with NX nastran.

You know something about this?
