I am a recent convert from Patran to Femap, and I am currently running a series of random vibration analyses. My issue is that I am creating multiple large data sets, but I am only really concerned about accelerations vs. frequency at a handful of nodes. I would like to minimize the amount of data I am retaining, and with my limited knowledge, I think the best way to do this would be to create functions from my results at the nodes of interest and then just delete the analysis results.
Is there a way to create a function from a chart data series apart from writing an API script to do so?
Thank you for your help.

You can copy the chart values to the clipboard using the Copy Chart Values to Clipboard pulldown icon as shown below.
From there, you can create a function, or just copy the values to a spreadsheet.
There's also another option that's 1 fewer step than the clipboard route. If you right-click on a data series, there's a "Create Function" option that does it straight from there.
