How to Delete Curves on Surfaces?

Is there anyway to delete imprinted curves on surfacs? I have created a few washer offsetts on my surface around a hole.  But I would like to delete the washer curves.  I have tried curve > delete but FEMAP says it is non-deletable.  How can I regain my orginal surface definition without created a boundary surface?

Thanks,

Hi Stressman,

you can delete one curve from surface at time with Delete Curve command.

When it doesn't work, you can use Nonmergeable Curve command to set all curves in solid to nonmergeable without that curves, you want to be mergeable, and use Cleanup command to this solid.

In meshing toolbox is a tool to remove curves too, you can also use the aggressiv removal checkbox (the correct description I can't write now, because I don't work this week and I doesn't have access to Femap at home).

I hope this help you.

Dear Stressman,

You can delete curves using command "Delete > Geometry > Curve" but ... one by one!!. If you select more than one curve then FEMAP will not delete any curve, so select one curve per command, and repeat.

If you want to get your surface to the original state simply use command "GEOMETRY > SOLID > CLEANUP" and click all options, your geometry will be cleaned and all imprints will disappear!!.
