Importing loads from another model. Possible?

Pioneer

Hello,

Me and a collegue have been working simultaneously on identical FEA models. We have been creating loading conditions without touching the mesh. Now the structure (basically  thicknesses and properties, not mesh) must be updated and it seems stupid that both models should be modified. However I cannot find an option for exporting the loads from one model end importing them to the other one.

Is this really not possible in FEMAP?

Dear Krisu,

Please take a look to command "FILE >MERGE" that allows to import LOADS from another model (you need to have both models opened simultaneoulsy).

Also take a look to ENTITY SELECTOR > LOADS that allow you to COPY & PASTE slections between FEMAP models, see this excellent video from M.Sherman:

Also, you always have the option "FILE > EXPORT > FEMAP NEUTRAL" that allows you to write some portions of the model.

Best regards,

Blas.

Kristoffer,

If you are interested, there is a tutorial on the File > Merge command in the Knowledge Base section of this forum at:
