List Elements Connected by Nodes (v 11.3)

Creator

I have a strange cluster of non-deletable nodes that formed in my model. I am trying to see if they are connected to any elements, however, it does not seem to be a way to list the elements this node is connected to. I know that if I select the element the data info box will show me the nodes that is connected to but I find it strange this is not done the other way around.

Additionally, when I select "List -> Node" it shows a "-1" under the elements collum which I find pretty strange. Does any on know what this could mean?

Thanks,

Angie

Dear Angie,

  1. First use FILE > REBUILD
  2. Next see if you can delete nodes, use command DELETE > MODEL> NODES > SELECT ALL, don't worry to select ALL nodes, only those nodes free will be deleted.
  3. If nodes remains undeleted, this means the nodes are referenced by another entity, say elements, load or boundary conditions.
  4. Delete Loads & BC s and test if the nodes can be deleted, OK?.

Best regards,

Blas.
