Meshing CAD Directly: Auto remesh/connect upon replace?

I have an assembly tet meshed.  I meshed the CAD directly and used the automatoc connections feature.  Can I replace one of the components in the assembly with a new design and have the mesh and connections auto update?  Or is it mostly manual (i.e. remesh the part that I replaced and then re-connect things by hand).

EDIT: The title got changed when I accidently clicked a tag - fixed now.

Make the solid that you want to switch out "Active", in the Model Info Pane, under Geometry, you can right-click and activate it.  Next, import the new solid, preferably as Parasolid, there's a "Update Existing Geometry" option when importing that will attempt to match things up.  You still have to remesh the imported solid, but it's connections, loads, and boundary conditions should be updated.  Where is your geometry coming from?

Mark.

Hi Mark - This seems to have worked.  I am confirming with a test analysis now.

Geometry is from CAD (i.e. Solidworks parasolid .x_t).  Thanks again.
