I want to perform non linear explicit analysis on porous structure.
I already tried but I am geting fatal error, might be due to unfilled material property.
Does somebody have experience in such modelling and what are the parameter need to be define in such analysis.

My model is porous 3D isotropic solid and I applied Aluminum 6061 – T6 as a material property.
I performed body load and linear, both run successfully. But when I run non linear I am getting fatal error.
Are you applying the load with a vs. Time function?
I saw this forum today and applied the load with a vs. Time function, however model still getting error.
and moreover I don't have contact, I am applying load directly on the upper part of geometry
When you refer to a 'porous' structure, are you including the pores as voids in the solid?
Also, I just noticed you are using the Advanced Nonlinear Explicit solver. You should not use this for anything except for very short duration, high-speed dynamic impact analysis. The Explicit solver (SOL701) does not have support for parabolic tetrahedral elements (10-noded) and has other limitations as well.
I recommend you use Advanced Nonlinear Static solution (Sol601)
Okay chip, I a, going to run the analysis now with nonlinear static analysis, it will take 5 o 6 hour to finish. afterwards I will let you know the status.
But chip, I want to know what are the parameter we need to define in material fro non linear static analysis.
I guess shear stress and yielding, is there any specific we need to be care.
