Solid bolt preload with temperature - managing progression of load

I've got nodal temperature loads defined to define bolt preload. I don't need help with that specifically, rather, I need to know how to apply the temperature preload and other varying loads (linear ramp-up of some nodal forces).

 

I tried load combinations which contain both the temperature and the scaled load I want, but I get this message:

"Error writing Combined Load Set 3, Temperature Loads are not supported in Static LOAD Combinations. Check Translation."

 

So, do I really have to define a second material for my bolt, with a different reference temperature? Is that the best practice in this case? Seems like it, if the nodal temperature preload is not allowed to be combined.

I've just noticed that if I try applying body load temperatures, they would be scaled in my load combinations.

How can I have a constant thermal load with a varying structural load? Do I have to create mutiple load cases (not combination cases)?
