Viscosity of fluid as function

Hello,

I run coupled thermal and flow analysis in Femap. Can I set up viscosity of fluid material as function of fluid temperature? If it works, what function fype should be used?

Dear Juraj,

Yes, you can define in FEMAP the variation of dynamic viscosity vs. temperature to use with TMG/FLOW for fluid flow analysis.

In FEMAP define the material type as FLUID:

and in the next form you can define the property values. Under FUNCTION REFERENCES es where you assign the function label (brwose to seect the function) where the temperature variation is defined. You must use a nominal value of 1.0 for the fluid property if the function XY values are in absolute values.

For the definition of the function simply use the type 2..vs. Temperature function, and it should be defined previously to the fluid material property creation.

Best regards,

Blas.
