Coupled Thermal and Mechanical Simulations

Experimenter
Experimenter
I'm interested in completing a coupled mechanical and transient thermal analysis. I was wondering if this can be done in NX.

I have a ADVNL 601,106 mechanical solution that brings two cylinders into contact, and then I would like to apply some heat generation in a specific area and inspect the thermal stresses created in the two cylinders. Is there a way to perform a "restart" from a mechanical model, and kick off a transient thermal model using NX Space System Thermal?

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated?
Thanks,
Nate

Dear Nate,
Results Mapping is supported between NX Advanced Simulation with NX NASTRAN and NX Thermal, then you can pass results between both models, inclusivelly having dissimilar meshes.
Best regards,
Blas.
