Glue contact, RB2, CGAP

Hi,

I wnated to know if I can replce glue contact with a RB2 (node to node), CGAP (node to node ) or simply by doing a node equivalence between two surfaces.

Would it make a difference???

Thanks.

Hi,

Attention, defining a contact with friction between two surfaces and joining two surfaces are two very different idealizations in a model.

The best way is to create a Simulation Object (find it in the Simulation toolbar) to define a contact or a gluing. But if you prefer manual modeling in NX Nastran :

- you can define gap and friction elements with a CGAP entry,

- you can define gluing to rigidly connect several grid points together with a RBE2 element.

Hope that it's clear.
