Normal mode shape display in phase

Solution Partner Pioneer Solution Partner Pioneer

Hi,

from the modal analysis I have normal frequency and mode. The mode (shape) is mostly displayed as displacement, e.g. for simple bar it is bending. And I want to display it in opposite direction as default - in opposite phase. How to get it? Is it a setting of NX Nastran solution or just function of Simcenter post process?

animate the mode shape and select the frame in which the part is the "position" you want perhaps

Production: NX9.0.3.4, NX10.0.2.6
Development: VB.NET (amateur level !)

Setting the deformation scale of the post view to a negative value will flip the phase of the deformed shape. I do not know how to set this as a default so you may need to create a post processing template to quickly apply the format.

Specify a negative scale factor on the deformation dialog

Deformation =10% of model (Default):

Deformation = -10%:
