Re-opening SIM file

Advanced Sim newbie...

...yesterday I did a simulation, and created a FEM, SIM, and Ideal part. Today when I try to load it again, the Ideal, and component files are associated, but the FEM and SIM aren't. See attached image, which shows the sim navigator tree.

I've tried opening in this order, FEM, SIM, Ideal, and in the reverse order, but the result is the same. I can recreate this easy enough, but I'd like to know what happened, so I can avoid it next time.

Thanks,
Dave

Dear Dave,
In advanced go to "File > Utilities > Customer Defaults > Simulation > General" and activate "Automatically create first FEM & SIM", this way everything will be associated properly. Next time simply open the SIM file, and then in the "Simulation File View" you can open the different files simply double-cliking.

Yes, you can create independently FEM files and associate to SIM files. Simply open the SIM file, go to the simulation navigator, click on the SIM name and use command "Replace FEM" and select the proper FEM file.

Best regards,
Blas.
