import mesh into Geometry in UG

N/A

Hi There,
Is there any way to inport a mesh (exported into nastran input deck file)into the
geometry where originately it has been created.
The issue is i need to export my mesh to be able to create my laminate in another
package and bring my mesh back into UGI.
after this operation, i loose the geometry so i cant have an iterative process.
is there any possible way, might be with an API programm to be able to import a
mesh and stick it in the geometry where originally has been created?
Best regards,

Importing the mesh back into FEMAP, you can use the Modifiy->Associativity command to reconnect the mesh to the geomety.
Hope this helps,
Carlton.

Hello!,
Till I know not remedy exist, in NX6 AdvSim not possible to re-associate mesh with geometry, but you can do it in FEMAP v10.1, a command exist to automatically associate nodes & elements with geometry, then this can be done perfectly in NX6 AdvSim if developers receive input from users requesting this feature to implemented in NX AdvSim, I am with you and this feature is welcome to be in NX AdvSim, please put pressure to developers.
Best regards,
Blas.
