I'm working with NX 5 Adv. Simulation.

I try to apply a force that changes continuously along one coordinate.

I'm thinking of a linear distribution. Is it possible to achieve this without

dividing the face in several subfaces and make a cascaded force distribution

to approximate the desired continuous distribution?

Got an answer from Siemens PLM Support, i'll try to translate it to proper english:

The possibility of defining forces as described above is given from version

NX7, but is not possible in NX5.

You can define a 1D-Field that contains a force distribution formula

e.g. (x+875)^2/(1750+875)^2, where x is a coordinate axis.

It is possible to scale the force by defining a force-component.
