Air flow in an electronic box with NX thermal/Flow

Hello

 

I am doing a Coupled flow and thermal analysis for an electronic box and using NX Thermal/Flow 10.

And use the fan which is volume  rate of 70CFM.

Heat load is 100 Watt and atmosphere temperature is 50 degC.

Box material and other materials are aluminium 6061.

 

After steady state analysis, the maximum fluid temperature is 50 degC.

Whereas initial condition the fluid temperature was 50 degC.

and I did not see warming any surface neither heat source nor any surface.

 

Can somebody help me this problem?

check if in "solve options" you choose both : solve thermal, solve flow

check also your heat load if it is defined properly

solve thermal and flow has been chosen. You can see  attachment.

heat load is correct.

 

I solved this design another cae program. There was no problem.

I don't understand what is wrong.

Hi OZ,

 

Have you tried to use flow/thermal coupled solver? not NX Electronic System Cooling.

and don't forget to define coupling between disconnected geometries (for thermal)

Is anything defined as a flow surface?  If not, there won't be any convection...
