Is there a way of doing a MAC calc (Modal Assurance Criterion) with the mode shapes of 2 FEMs.
I have a highly refined FEM of a part and a simplifed one. I am looking for a way of comparing the mode shapes (maybe using a MAC calc: scalar constant relating the degree of consistency (linearity) between one modal and another reference modal vector) rather than relying on the "it looks similar"
With the modal vectors (mode shape) available is there a way in NX.CAE to do such MAC calc?

This can be done with NX FE Model Correlation, which is an add-on to NX Advanced FEM. You can also do side-by-side animations of modes that are paired by the MAC.
