I want to know, if it is possible to create a macro for rename nodes for example select all model nodes and start renumbering on node number 100.
On the other hand, if it is possible a similar macro for renaming and renumbering the model elements 2D and 3D elements.
Solved! Go to Solution.
you do not need a macro for renumbering nodes and elements. If you are in FEM, you find the renumbering in
Edit -> Node -> Modify Label
Edit -> Element -> Modify Label
or in the "Nodes and Elements" Toolbar. (You can also search for "label" in the command finder).
This allows you to set a new start number for nodes and elements and an increment for the new labels.
If you ever need an automation for that, you can record a journal using the modify label function.
One additional note on this command. NX will not let you relabel into the existing range of labels in one step. For example, if you have grids labeled from 500 to 5000, your relabel start cannot be in that range.
Your relabel start can be between 1 and 499, as long as you have fewer than (499- starting ID) nodes in the model (so that the hghest relabled node is < 500).
So, if you had 2500 nodes labeled between 500 and 5000 and you wanted to relabel them to start at 1, you would first have to relabel them starting at 5001. Then perform a second relabel starting at 1.
