I had the NX 10 Help running properly, but suddenly today the NX 10 Help refuse to open, here you are the error that appear in the screen:
Not any change done in the Windows 8.1 computer, then surprise me the error. Any help to solve the problem is welcome, thanks!.

Have you looked in the server log as the message suggests? Can you post the server log. This file is located in the logs folder under the documentation server installation.

Did you update Java (or did it update itself automatically)? I would turn off the Doc server services, clear the java cache and restart the service (and hope for the best )
Impressing, the DOC alived!!. Till I know not any notice received from JAVA x64 updater. Well, let's see how long the docs are alive.... thanks!.
Got the same problem I think.
On feb 25 the doc server service didn't start anymore.
Clearing tha Java cache doesn't solve anything.
Looking at the doc server log files I see the last log is from feb 24
When I mannually start the service it fails with error "Windows could not start... review system event log...service specific error code 1"
The system event log tells me "
The Siemens PLM Documentation Server service terminated with service-specific error Incorrect function..
Well, here happens again, after robooting the Windows 8.1 laptop the DOC server refuses to work, this is a malfunctioning definitely of the SIEMENS PLM Documentation Server, not a local user error.
If each time a reboot the computer I have to go to the CONTROL PANEL, stop the SIEMENS PLM Documentation Service, then delete the JAVA cache, next start again the PLM documentation Server, and test if everything runs OK, ufff, .... an urgent solution is required!!.
I got the same problem, and I think that it comes from the Documentation Server of NX10 when installed under Win8.1.
What I tried is:
Both let You use NX10 Help, but the procedure is not satisfying for every day use, so the behaviour of the doc server should be repaired...
I got the same problem several times under Win7.
The "500. The called Failed on the server" message but also no message with nothing displayed.
Stop/Restart the service did not worked.
I solved the problem by either restarting the computer or reinstall the help.
Is there a way to open the main page mannualy ?
I know there is an online help accessible but is there a pdf version ?
