[NX11] How to hide the element edges of the mesh in a result plot?

Hi,

Due to the mesh density, the elements edges hide the results in a results plot.

I like to either hide element edges/mesh, or plot results on the geometry bodies or any other option that actually lets mee see the results without having to zoom in until I only have a small part of the model in sight.

Can anyone help me with this issue please?

Regards,

Rogier

Re: [NX11] How to hide the element edges of the mesh in a result plot?

Rogier,

Edit the Post View from the Post Processing Navigator or select Edit Post View from the Results ribbon. Then go to the Edges and Faces tab. Set the edges option to Feature or None to limit the display of element edges in the post view.

Mark

Thank you!

So simple. How did I miss that...

"Edit the Post View from the Post Processing Navigator or select Edit Post View from the Results ribbon"

I could not locate this option on Femap v11.2. Is there a short cut key to access the Edges and Faces tab?

Thanks, Su

This is the Simcenter forum and the instructions were for doing this and Simcenter.

If you would like to know how to do this in Femap, please post the question in the Femap forum.

Thanks for that information!

Re: [NX11] How to hide the element edges of the mesh in a result plot?

I switch between Element edges and Feature edges a lot so I created a couple of partial post processing templates so that I don't have to use the edit menu. The templates I created are in the attached zip file.
