Bold Bets: Future of Manufacturing

Chicago, IL / September 18, 2015

Siemens is engaged in many topics in the U.S. and we have launched a series of events in cities across the U.S. entitled Bold Bets to explore topics from the future of transportation to advanced manufacturing, cities and intelligent infrastructure to workforce development. Earlier this year, we hosted events in Sacramento and Los Angeles. Last year, we hosted events in Cincinnati, Detroit, Boston, Philadelphia, Richmond and Charlotte.

The next installment of Bold Bets on September 18th in Chicago will focus on the future of manufacturing and training our future workforce. It’s clear that America’s manufacturing resurgence is being driven by a software revolution – and that gives the U.S., the world leader in software development, a leg up in the global manufacturing race. We now need to ensure we have the workforce to maintain that.

As with our other Bold Bets events hosted by The Atlantic, the September 18th Hot Spot event in Chicago will be live-streamed starting at 8:30 am Central Time Zone/9:30 am Eastern Pacific Time Zone.

From a communications/press standpoint, we’ve received solid regional and national interest in these programs as we’ve rolled them out with significant print, broadcast and online coverage, in addition to robust social media engagement.
