Crack Propagation using API

Hello everyone.

 

At the attached MP4 is shown the propagation of a crack on a drilled plate. The propagation was created using the API with the standard tools and commands. The Stress Intensity Factors are calculated using the Crack Opening Displacement method, and at the crack tip are used modified 6 node triangular elements (quarte point elements) as proposed by the Henshall and Shaw.

 Thank you for your kind words. I must confess that I am a big fan of you.

 

 This code was part of my master (Computational Mechanics) thesis. It was created in such a way, working in a hurry and anxiety, which is not very user friendly, and has a lot of garbage and notes inside.

 

 In a few days, I am going to start my PhD, and probably I will use it during the research. Therefore, I am planning to improve it, make it a lot more effective and user friendly.

 When I finish it, it would me my pleasure to share it with the FEMAP community
