I am encountering fatal error related to contacts,
I have been trying to troubleshoot the error by doing examples, and I have encountered the same problem with one of the examples.
When I opened the "ready" or "Solved" model from the example database, the error occured also.
I am having multiple ***USER INFORMATIONAL MESSAGE (4109-4114) (OUTPX2)
Followed by FATAL ERROR> SOL 601 DID NOT FINISH SUCCESSFULLY
^^^USER FATAL MESSAGE
I am running Femap version 11.3.2
Any and all ideas are welcome,
thanks in advance
I am nearly certain that the model is constrained enough. (I have experimented with another BC's on my other model without any change).
As for contact setting, the contact is set up according to tutorial, even when running the example, the model set-up, both BC's and contact setting.
I am not exactly sure about nodes not being connected to elements, could you elaborate please?
Node not attached to any element and not canstrained so it can move free.
Check node Number 1. This node listed in error message so it cause crash.
Or you can upload model here.
Maybe something is wrong with your knowledge. Do you constrain only one curve? This is wrong for solid elements. Solid elements have only translational DOF`s, so one part can rotate about constrained curve.
Open model I attached in previous post, examine constraints, run model and see that all working.
You can run Normal Modes SOL103 first. If you have bad constraints then first modes will be near zero. When you animate this modes you can see what parts have rigid body motion.
