How to calculate biased spacing

I am writing an API script to automatically redistribute a subset of existing nodes along a curve based on a user-input biasing ratio. I know that the growth ratio is defined by the equation l_{i+1}/l_{i} = B^(1/n-1), where 'B' is the bias factor and 'n' is the number of elements. This seems straightforward, but is there a simple way to calculate what the starting (minimum) length should be without having to do so iteratively?
