Dear Karolina,

Using FEMAP V12 the NX NASTRAN quality check performs with success, see below:

Curiously, after converting the model from meters to millimeters using command TOOLS > CONVERT UNITS we can see that the resulting value of HEX DetJ is different, changes from 1.28827E-9 to 1.28827, strange ..., this should be revised & investigated by FEMAP developers, the element quality check should be invariant of the model units used...

Nastran also exhibits the scaling behavior with Jacobians for solid elements. Nastran Jacobian and Femap Nastran DetJ report the same values. These are the expected results according to the Nastran developers. The values are not normalized and only become an issue with model accuracy when Nastran Jacobian is less than 0.0.
