What is happening when applying a load at a constraint?

When running a random response analysis, we apply the load at a node with a constraint on it. What is Femap/Nastran doing internally to handle this? If the node is completely fixed, it seems like applying a load there should do nothing, which is clearly not what happens.

If you apply enforced displacement/velocity/acceleration to nodes, then you should constrain nodes in direction of enforced motion load.

If you apply load, and get nonzero results, then post here simple example.

Enforced motion load is constraint applied like load. Check Quick Reference Guide:
