I am new to NX-Nastran, trying to mate mesh between two solids
What type of mesh connection to be provided to get coincidence between the nodes of two solids
What type of mesh connection to be provided to get friction contact between the nodes of two solids
There are 3 mesh mating options:
Glue coincident should be used when you want a continuous mesh across the volumes.
Free coincident can be used if you want to apply a glue or contact boundary condition and want the mesh patterns to be identical. Note that coincident meshes are not required for either glue or contact.
Glue Non-Coincident: this is an old capability that was implemented prior to glue or tied contact being commonly available as options in solvers. I wouldn't recommend ever using it. Adding glue in the solver results in a much better continuity between the meshes and provides better results reporting for pressures and tractions.
