I compare bending of a 150x100 ortotropic plate with SOL101, SOL601 (Adina) and SAMCEF.
The plate is supported by 4 corner nodes and a pressure is applied. The material orthotropy axis is the diagonal.
If SOL101 and SAMCEF give similar shapes, Adina shows a different behavior that doesn't looks coherent with orthotropy. Sim and Fem files are attached, did I make a mistake?

I see now why the deformation shape is like what SOL 101 gives due to the very high E1/E2 ratio.
It looks like the ADINA 3-node shell is too stiff due to locking. If a much finer mesh is used, the results would be similar to SOL 101. Attached is a sample input file.
We will continue to investigate this problem with our 3-node shell.
