is there a way to improve the quality of the text blocks in XY-plots?
In former times there was a way to improve quality of global text visualization by means of switching off "Full Scene Antialiasing" (see Font-degradation-after-upgrading-to-Windows-10... )
But that doesn't work in XY-Plots.
But, in NX12 the online documentation suggests that there are better qualities possible:
Does anyone has better results than me? - Is it a problem of:
- settings or
- selected fonts or
- windows 10 x 6bit or
- graphic board?
Who can help? - Every suggestion is welcome. - Best wisches, Michael
You can try changing the global font on Visualization Preferences, Color/Font tab.
Fonts for each plot object (title, x-axis, y-axis, etc.) can be changed on that objects Options dialog (toggle on edit mode, then double click object).
See Title Options dialog box, for example.
Hi JimB, thank you for answering.
I did modify the individual text areas with different local font setting and could get indeed better results. See below...
Here you an see different attempts at different text areas (used it like a playground to test)
I've got the impression that the default font in global is not the best selection for that, and, additionally the truetype fonts of operating system marked with that blue are a bad choice. Best results I've got with the NX fonts marked with the NX symbol .
So I think it would be good to change settings global for that, maybe in customer defaults.
Where can I set it and is it possible to get information about the NX Fonts and there appearance before using it in dialouges by selecting?
I assume the original NX fonts are not part of the operating system directory for fonts, right?
Additionally, I've seen that the size values and the specific implementation is really different. One font needs letters with 5 others with 36 to get similare sized in XY-Plot
So, what is a good choice? And, how to set it?
Best wishes, Michael
