How to plot a force vs displacement graph ?

Hello everybody,

I have modeled an object on Siemens NX 12. I would like to do compression test on it in FEM. Actually, I would like to deform my object until a certain value and plot the results of the simulation in a force vs displacement graph.

I think I should probably use the SOL401 but it doesn't work. Can someone help me please ? I am struggling on it since a couple of days...

Thank you,

FabienL

You will typically have separate force and displacement plots generated from the solver output. As long as they share a common abscissa, you can conbine them into a Force vs Displacement plot using a Two function plot

Thank you for your response. I am a beginner on Siemens and I don't know where to find generated plots from the solver. Can you please tell me where can I find it ?

Thanks,
