We have NX 11.0.1 installed and interested in topology optmization. We do not have any CAE licenses and are not experts in that area. What is required for us to use the new Frustum-based optmization technoloogy? Does it require a seperate license?
Will NX's old tosca optimization be replaced by a new one?
Hi there, sorry I don't know anything about it... Given Siemens has invested in a Topology Optimization company, I would think this won't be long before it's in the CAE product. I've seen the design-level topology optimization presented at a UGM in Cypress not long ago...
‘’I was told from GTAC that "old" topology optimization is no longer available for new customers, but new Topology optimization is planned in next version of NX/Simcenter.”
Is NX / Simcenter using the new Frustum optimizer instead of TOSCA? The
Can you understand that?
Dear topology optimization enthusiasts,
please scroll back in this discussion thread – I am from Siemens PLM and my contribution from July last year explained that we no longer sell the TOSCA-based topology optimization, but we do support it for existing NX Topo customers.
As a replacement for the TOSCA-based solution we now offer a native Nastran-based topology optimization solution for the CAE expert.
We also offer an NX CAD-based, easy-to-use topology optimization solution based on Frustum technology. Here, the target user is the design engineer.
These two topology optimization solutions are complementary as they serve different user groups.
Thank you very much for your enthusiastic answer
My problem has been solved and I like NX software and optimization very much
Have trouble you
NX Nastran 11 did not find a new topology topology (replacement for the TOSCA-based solution), whether the new topology optimization was in NX Nastran 12？
Red circle or not very easy to use TOSCA...
