NX12: strain energy density is missing in "Plot Contour"

Hello experts,

I want to visualize in NX12 strain energy density - elemental like in NX103.

But there is no result like that. In NX103 it was possible to plot these results.

See in NX103 >>>

Where is my mistake? I made the same settings like in NX103.

In my PCH file all of the three parts of strain energy (from NX103 and NX12) are available:

- Strain energy,

- Strain energy density,

- Strain energy percentage.

But in OP2 for "Plot contour" only Strain energy percentage is available. So how can I control it?

Does it depend on Data format? - Only "Abs, Real, Imag" are availabe there.

Who can help? - Best wishes, Michael

That's strange. I don't seem to have any trouble generating Strain Energy contour results in NX12. You might check your f06 file to see if anything strange is happening during the solve.

SteveP,
Thank you for answering. After being back at the office I will try to find out.
As additional information, my intention is getting SED into PCH file AND viewing it in Post Processor. Maybe there is something different by means of PUNCH instead of PLOT. As having not PRINT command in "Solution output request" f06 file has no information about that I assume.
Now I'm on holiday at the North Sea...

Best wishes, Michael

SteveP,

now I found the reason for "missing Strain Energy Density" in Post Processor Navigator. It's so simple.

The three components of strain energy are not sorted as a unit in the tree of results...

Strain Energy - Elemental and Strain Energy Density - Elemental are placed at Strain and Strain Energy Percentage - Elemental is placed below gluing results at Elastic Strain.

I did only overlook it, that's all. Of course it would be good, if all results are listed collectively. But I've found it.

EDIT: As I've seen now, the Strain Energy Percentage - Elemental is completely new in "Plot Contour". So it's an enhancement (with teething troubles a little bit?)!

Best wishes, Michael.
