Hello experts, short question:
Is there a trick to prevent a post view template (which only has to modify the result type to "Displacements") from activating ALL elements in post view?
My Template is the following:
<NXPostProcessingTemplate TemplateType="User" Version="NX8.5" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="PostTemplate.xsd"> <PostView> <ResultOptions> <Result>[Displacement][Nodal]</Result> <Component>X</Component> <AbsoluteValue>0</AbsoluteValue> <ResultScale> 1.000000e+000</ResultScale> <Unit>mm</Unit> </ResultOptions> </PostView> </NXPostProcessingTemplate>
It only defines Result options, but by using it, it reselects all meshes in my model ignoring if meshes are preselected for visualization or not.

See after >>>>
I see the same behavior in NX 8.5 and NX 10.
That's not what I did expect.- I try to define common templates which leave the visualized elements untouched.
The templates shall be usable for all kind of models with different types of elements and different amount of meshes.
What do I have to modify to get it?
Who can help? Best wishes, Michael

I don't have a solution for you but I did try your xml file on an NX 11 model and it worked fine without turning back on any of my unchecked 2D or 3D meshes. I don't know if it matters but I didn't have any connectors of beams in my example model.
Perhaps what's happening is an issue with NX 10.
thank you for answering. You are right, my template works correctly in NX11, as you worked it out.
Now I have to find out if the error was corrected in NX10, too. And, if I use the last NX10 version which is issued. My version is NX 10.0.3.5 (MP18).
Best wishes, Michael
