Sphere to Extrusion Analytical Contact

I'm trying to use a sphere to extrusion analytical contact but I'm running into some issues. Once I select a link under the extusion section, I am unable to select anything for "Specify Motion Extrusion". Apparently I need to select a sheet body. Is there a way to use the face of a link instead?

You need to select a sheet body that is defined by an Extrude feature in the Motion simulation model (in the sim file). In Motion application, Extrude feature button is in Tab 'Geometry'. Create the extrude as sheet body and then add that sheet body to your Link.

You cannot use any face.

Tips: To maintain associativity, when the geometry is in Master Part, use Promote Body or Wave link the body such as the selected edge remain associative. Then you have also other active geometry for  setting the extrusion length.

After extruding, how do I add the sheet body to the link?

Simply edit the Link and select the sheet body. It will be added to the Link.

Link dialog focus is on Link Objects - Select Object.
