Connector Slide Plane Equivalent

Dear All,

 

Does anyone have an idea how to simulate this type of connector between two points similar to abaqus?  Here is the link to the definition.

My customer requires it and I am trying to figure out how to simulate the same reaction.  I tried a manual couple but it does not give me the option to pick a local co-sys.  It maps only to global.

What Solver/Analysis Type are you trying to create these in? For NX Nastran Structural, the Manual Coupling allows you to select a csys on the BC definition.

 

However, even if the BC did not let you select a csys directly, all nodal based constraints an couples are ultimately defined in terms of the nodal displacement csys (not global). You can set/modify the nodal displacement csys in the fem using the "Assign Nodal Coordinate System" command.

Hello,  I am running this within UGNX 11.0  direct.  Not femap and NX nastran standalone.

 

The solutions are Sol 101 and Sol 601, 106.
