NX Nastran solving on a server?

Is it possible to solve on a server type computer, instead of the local workstation?  ie stup the job locally, and queue it up on a server machine?

if so, what are the hardware reqts for the server?  os? anything else we need to be aware of?

Yes, this is possible. That is the difference between the desktop/bundle licenses and the Enterprise license.

If solving with a desktop/bundle license, the solve must be on the same machine that the deck was exported from Simcenter on (i.e. local solve)

To solve on any machine other than the one that the deck was exported on, an enterprise license is required.

Jim,

I need to do network server solves as well to offload NASTRAN jobs for a large group of NX users (have Enterprise install).

Please can you provide links or info on how to setup?

What job schedulers are supported?

Thanks,

Mark.

Siemens PLM does not directly support remote job queueing.

There are several partners that provide queing solutions (i.e. Platform Computing LSF, PBS pro, GRD)
