Don't know much about this stuff but I am told the Hyperthreading stuff is to do with accessing/fiddling with the BIOS. Correct? There's no way of turning it off/on as/when one wants. I have no intention of playing with the BIOS !
I am not even sure why this option is currently on.
Generally, By default hyper threading is enabled.
It is also well documented in NX Nastran installation and operation guide, that we need to disable.
""Some Intel processors provide a Hyper-Threading feature in which a single processor can support multiple instructions, thus emulating additional processor cores. When Hyper-Threading is enabled, it can lead to a conflict with threading within NX Nastran for both SMP and DMP executables. Hyper-Threading should be disabled, which can be done permanently through BIOS operations""
I'm running the model blas made, we don't have FEMAP here... Looks like it's a small model, 700k dof...
Interesting benchmark to perform on a bigger model indeed!
