i am using nx nastran 10.when i solve a linear static solution, with out any load , it is getting solved and giving zero displacement results which is correct with a zero load.
But when i use nx 9 ,when there is no load in the linear static solution .when u click on solve,it will give a warning saying there is no load in the soltion .and it will not solve the solution.
Can any one tell me how come nxnastran 10 is solving a solution without anyload.
NX Nastran has always been able to solve a job where no loads are applied.
What you are referring to is a NX Simulation model check. In NX 9 and prior, a model check at export would flag models that had no load applied. This model check was removed due to contact - when you model a press fit for example, there is no discreet structural load defined on the model. All of the load comes from contact interference. So the model check error was incorrectly preventing contact interference only type models from being exported and solved.
