On the Solid Edge forum there's a post pinned at the top for several weeks - titled "KeyShot and result of a stress analysis."

I am curious to know what is special about it being pinned.

Thanks

Tushar

Hi @Tushar - I'm not sure. It might have been to highlight KeyShot, it might have been an accident. @ErinDaly or @LauraWatson do you know?

We pinned the post when Solid Edge started using Keyshot. We wanted folks to share theie cool Keyshot Renderings.

The post I point to is the second in the list titled "KeyShot and result of a stress analysis".

Sorry, just catching up. I have no idea how that second post ended up pinned...I'm going to unpin it now, unless anyone has an objection.

If I remember correctly also regular members are able to set a thread pinned, you might want to disable this ability for regular members.

@Stefan_Pendl - have you tried this? When I check all the user settings, it doesn't show that anyone should be able to.

Hi @KatieKing,

I haven't checked this lately, but I think I was able to pin a post in the early days after the BBS has been closed down. The settings might have been refined ever since.

There used to be a "pin" option in the menu, but I assume that it only pinned it for the individual user - not everyone. The recent update seems to have changed the wording a bit, something like "float topic for current user".
