5 axis output with line and arc

Hi Experts,

I create one tool path of the variable contour (5 axis continiues motions). Then I try to output by line and arc.

But I get the identical motion in CL file. Based one my undersatanding it should be output small segment by line, circle motion by arc.

I do not know why.

Thanks in advance.

Operation, cl file, events:

You get only lines because there is no circle.

When selecting arc output it does not necessarily mean you will see circles.

If there will be real circle shape in the path in propriate plane, you will see it.

*in NC code, 5axis continuous motion:

If there are circles generated in the operation, postprocessor can disable them because of 5axis continuous motion.

If it is a true multi-axis path, you will (probably) almost never see arcs in the output.

Very few machines can handle an arc move *with a tool axis change*.

And I don't think NX can output an arc move with a tool axis change.

You may see an arc on engage/retract moves, but if you are using HSM you probably don't want it there anyway...
