Adding new file templates to manufacturing tab

I'm tryng to add the Manufacturing tab to the file new templates. The one out of the box will not load. I have figured out why but I don't know how to fix it. Here is what it looks like in the PAX file.

<PaletteEntry id="d1">

<References/>

<Presentation name="General Setup" description="NX CAM General Setup">

<PreviewImage type="UGPart" location="${UGII_CAM_TEMPLATE_PART_ENGLISH_DIR}mill_planar_assy.jpg"/>

</Presentation>

<ObjectData class="CamTemplate">

<Filename>@DB/mill_planar_assy_inch/A</Filename>

<Configuration>${UGII_CAM_CONFIG_DIR}cam_part_planner_library.dat</Configuration>

<LibraryClassPath>SETUP_TEMPLATE;GENERAL</LibraryClassPath>

<Units>English</Units>

<UsesMasterModel>Yes</UsesMasterModel>

<ItemType>MENCMachining</ItemType>

<RelationType>master</RelationType>

</ObjectData>

</PaletteEntry>

If I change "CAMTEMPLATE" to <ObjectData class="ModelTemplate"> it loads then.

Why can't I use Camtemplate as objectdate class.

  1. Which NX and Teamcenter releases are we talking about?
  2. Do none of the cam templates load?
  3. Are you using the nxdm_...PAX file without customization?
  4. Is the part file available in Teamcenter?
  5. What has the NX syslog to tell about why the templates are not loading?
  6. Have you used the utility to upload the templates to Teamcenter?
    • Did you generate a new PAX file during the upload?
      • This is nowhere documented, but the batch and pearl scripts have some comments about the command line options.

I am using the same structure for my custom templates without problems.
